Namaste, and welcome aboard.

Helicopter tours in Nepal, from the city to the snow by breakfast

Picture yourself on Kala Patthar, face to face with Everest, inside the Annapurna Sanctuary or beside the monastery at Kyanjin Gompa, and still back at your hotel for lunch. Our flights leave Kathmandu and Pokhara in the morning, and we arrange private charters and 24-hour rescue too.

Popular flights and starting prices

How high you'll stand

Every tour lands somewhere you'd otherwise need days on foot to reach. Kathmandu sits at 1,400 m; here's where the helicopter will put you down.

Helicopter tours

Morning flights with one or more landings, and you're back the same day. Prices are per person, and they drop as more people share the helicopter.

Why the price drops with every seat

You hire the whole helicopter, and up to five passengers share the cost. Here's what each person pays for the Everest Base Camp tour, with its landing on Kala Patthar.

Walk in, fly out

Trek the classic routes to Everest Base Camp, Gokyo, Annapurna Base Camp or Kyanjin Gompa, then skip the days of walking back down with a helicopter flight from the top. Your knees will thank you!

How a flight day works

  1. Step 1

    Book and send details

Choose a date online or ask us for a quote. We'll need passport copies and, for Everest, each passenger's weight.

  2. Step 2

    The evening before

We check the weather outlook and send you your pickup time, usually between 5:30 and 6:00.

  3. Step 3

    Fly at sunrise

Check in at the domestic terminal and take off around 6:30, when the mountains are at their clearest.

  4. Step 4

    Back by lunch

Most tours land back in Kathmandu or Pokhara before noon, and we drive you back to your hotel.

All questions
Where do the helicopter tours start?
Everest, Langtang, Gosaikunda, Upper Mustang and Rara flights start from the domestic terminal at Kathmandu airport, while Annapurna Base Camp and Muktinath start in Pokhara. Either way, we pick you up from your hotel.
How many people fit in one helicopter?
Up to five passengers in normal conditions. At very high landings such as Kala Patthar, the pilot may take a full group up in two short hops, because a helicopter can lift less in thin air.
Why does the price per person change with group size?
You're hiring the whole helicopter, and its cost is shared between the passengers, so five people pay much less each than one or two. On busy routes we can often add you to a shared flight.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The pilot decides on the morning. If the flight can't go safely, you can move it to the next clear day or have a full refund.
What time do flights leave?
Mountain flights take off between 6:00 and 7:00, when the air is calmest and clearest. We'll send you your pickup time the evening before.

Tell us where you want to land

Just send us your date, where you'd like to start and how many of you are travelling. We'll come back to you with a route and a price, usually the same day.
