Booking terms
How booking, payment, weather cancellations and refunds work.
These terms apply to tours, charters and treks booked with Heli Charter Nepal, online at helicharternepal.com or by email.
Booking
Book online, or send us an enquiry and we'll reply with a quote. A booking is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email with your booking reference. For flights we need a clear copy of each passenger's passport, and for the Everest landing each passenger's weight.
Payment
You can pay the full amount by card when you book online. Alternatively, a deposit of 25% secures your booking, with the balance paid before the flight, by card, bank transfer or in cash at our Kathmandu office. Prices are in US dollars.
Weather and safety
Mountain flights depend on the weather. The pilot and the helicopter operator make the final decision about whether a flight goes, how many passengers it carries to each landing, and how long it stays on the ground. If a flight is cancelled for weather or safety, you can move it to another date or receive a full refund. If a flight has to turn back after take-off, we refund the part of the route that was not flown, in proportion to the flying time.
Cancellation by you
- More than 10 days before the flight or trek: we refund 50% of the amount paid.
- 10 days or less before: the deposit is not refundable.
- Permits already issued in your name (for example Upper Mustang) cannot be refunded.
Changes
We'll do our best to change dates or details on request, subject to availability. A change of route or group size may change the price.
Passengers' responsibilities
Please tell us about any medical condition that could be affected by altitude, follow the crew's instructions on the ground and in the air, and arrive at the pickup on time. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical costs and, for trekkers, helicopter evacuation.
Our role
We arrange flights with helicopter operators licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. The operator is responsible for the aircraft and crew.
